Die verschiedenen ökologischen Formen sind derart unterschiedlich, dass sie ursprünglich für verschiedene Arten gehalten wurden. Hauptsächlich unterscheiden wir zwei Hauptformen:
1. 'crocale' Formen mit oberseits schwarzen Fühlern.
2. 'pomona' Formen mit oberseits roten Fühlern. Catopsilia
